Whether you just rolled out of bed or you’re coming back from dawn patrol, you need brunch—not just any brunch—Spanish brunch, with eggs, bacon (Ibérico), burgers (vaca), pancakes (filoa), waffles (morcilla), churros (sí), empanadas, strong coffee & stronger cocktails (buenos días).

We’re thrilled to be host Rajat Parr for Father's Day Brunch! Raj will be in the house pouring his wines & telling tales about the city of vines (aka Los Angeles), big bottles, bigger piles of compost & what it means to call a wine Misturado.
Parr is a James Beard award-winning author, wine professional & globally celebrated sommelier. His California winemaking career began with Sandhi & Domaine de la Cóte in Santa Barbara.
More recently he's moved both up and down the coast: settling in Cambria (San Simeon) to tend two extremely cool sites at Phelan Farm, & working his way back down the grapevine to hundred+ year-old vines here in Cucamonga for his Scythian Wine Co. We’ll be focusing on the these two labels, particularly those with Galician roots: Palomino, Mencía, Trousseau (Merenzau), & Alicante Bouschet (Garnacha Tintorera).
XUNTANZA AT BAR XUNTOS!
Join us for Xuntanza!! Gallego for get-together, or hanging out with old friends, Xuntanza is our new bar-only menu of pintxos from Chef Sandra, served from 5-7pm Monday-Saturday (along with our full menu). Each pintxo is a little bite, and you can order as many as you like while catching up, decompressing, or starting your night.
Together with the pintxos, you have to try the new cocktails by our amigo Kim Stodel, along with the gin tonics & Spanish brandies joining our rotation of natural wines, vermuts & cold cervezas. There’s lots to choose from for the first round, but if you fill up on pintxos, the last should be chupitos—after-dinner licors straight from Galicia.

We want to share our upcoming Wine Explorers this Wednesday April 24th: PINTXOS Y VINOS NATURALES
Wine Explorers comes to Santa Monica! Begun at Gasolina Cafe in 2022, Wine Explorers is a weeknight wine tasting from Chef Sandra Cordero & Beverage Director Scott Baker modeled after a restaurant staff training (but you don’t have to spit!). Join us for the first Explorers this side of the 405. We’ll taste 3 iconic Spanish orange wines--from vines growing in the forests of Bierzo & the hills of Galicia, to the sands of Alicante--each offering clues to the eternal questions: what is orange wine? does it taste like oranges (or wine)? if I’m drinking orange wine in Santa Monica what are they drinking in Venice? can it bring me luck & improve my outlook? will it change my tastes forever? &, of course, what goes with it? Each wine will be paired with a springtime pintxo from Chef Sandra. Stick around after for more tapas, more orange wines & tunes!

Wednesday Wine Explorers: A la Brasa
Memorial Day is this weekend, and you have a choice: skip the cookout this year & save room for Wednesday Wine Explorers, OR load your shopping cart up with bags of buns, pull out the tongs & apron, have an epic barbecue & still come to Wine Explorers on Wednesday May 29th. We recommend the latter!
Wine Explorers is a weeknight wine tasting from Chef Sandra Cordero & Beverage Director Scott Baker modeled after a restaurant staff training (but you don’t have to spit!). Join us in our backyard (bar mezzanine) for the official start of grilling season, Xuntos-style. We'll be tasting 3 barbacoa-ready tintos made for a cookout on the playa, from grapes like Ull de Llebre, Valdigué & Garnacha Peluda (sizzling!). Each wine will be paired with a pintxo from Chef Sandra grilled over charcoal. Stick around after for more tapas, wine & tunes!
